In another
shipwreck off Kastelorizo yesterday, according to Turkish media, two
young girls, 7 and 11 years of age have been drowned. 18 refugees
have been rescued, while 3 still missing.
Note that
another girl of 10 years old was drowned on Monday, when she fell off
the boat which was carrying about 50 Afghan refugees to Lesvos.
According to
the UN, since the start of the year, more than 650,000 people have
started their journey from the Turkish coasts to the Greek islands.
More than 500, many children among them, have lost their lives.
