The Minister
of Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez denounced a new attack of
the Embassy of the United States against Venezuela, by denying visa
to officials of the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs,
as well as senior officials of the Bolivarian Government to attend
multilateral international events.
This action,
disassociated from the International Law, once again ratifies how
arrogantly and violently the US embassy assaults the International
Laws and the Vienna Convention, since it is the host country of the
head offices of the Organization of American States (OAS) and of the
United Nations Organization (UN), therefore cannot refuse to grant
visas but are obliged to make all efforts to ensure the participation
of officials to the scheduled events in that nation.
It is not
the first time that these irregularities are presented by the USA
Embassy. “This is very serious, because it violates and
undermines public international laws”, said Rodriguez, who
expressed that tomorrow, the new Vice Minister for North America,
Bernardo Álvarez, in the name of the Bolivarian Republic will submit
a letter of formal protest to the US government.
The Head of
the Bolivarian Diplomacy for Peace, quoted words of President Nicolas
Maduro who pointed out to the US embassy, as a war machine against
the constitutional and legitimate government of Venezuela.
Nevertheless, Rodriguez reaffirmed that such aggression will not
achieve to break the libertarian spirit of the Bolivarian Government.
“They
only give visas to opponents who permanently conspire to overthrow
the constitutional government, and deny visas that should
legitimately been given, to Venezuelan government officials. We know
that they are acting as a war machine against our country” she
indicated.
